Something I've noticed is that people are able to leave wordpress comments and this shows up in wordpress...but not in intensedebate. Perhaps there is a setting that didn't tic over during the plugin install?

Spam/Mod Comments not SynchingComments for moderation show up in Wordpress, not showing in Intense Debate. When I go into the wordpress administration side of things of wordpress 2.7.1, it shows 1 Spam comment. When I go to my comments page or even to my intensedebate.com dashboard, I cannot see that comment...it's not there.

No, because friendfeed doesn't post updates to those sites..it only tracks updates.
Ping posts updates to sites...it doesn't track updates. They are exact opposites...to do one, you require authentication, to do the other you don't.
It's like following RSS for my blog..you could subscribe to my RSS feed on a site and even make comments ON THAT SITE but you wouldn't be able to post new blogs posts on my blog without getting a username and password and authenticating.
@Daniel15
API still has your API key trading authentication token in the background, no way around it.

Tell you what...you guys that are complaining need to write an application that allows you to send status updates without authenticating to the site you're sending them to but somehow magically knows who you are. You'll rake in millions because it can't be done. Some kind of identifier passes in the background no matter what you do on the web.
What you're asking ping.fm to do in this instance would be like asking someone to come find your house without giving them an address. It's impossible.
No offense, but if you're uncomfortable this much with giving out your passwords, it's time to NOT go on the web anymore.

sidebar comments does not displayI have pasted the script for recent comments in my blog...however, I'm getting a javascript error on the page when it loads and the comments do not display. The URL is http://linux-blog.org and the recent comments are in the right sidebar.
