This has become a joke.....added 100 new direct connections today which has resulted in losing over 100,000 connections in total.........effectively for every contact i add i lose 1000 connections

I have had the same issue....i have over 3500 direct connection with approx 16 million + total connections........over the weekend this has dropped to 9 million total connections.
I am adding approximatley 50 direct connections on a good day and yet my total number of connections keeps dropping even though my direct (1st degree) and 2nd degree contacts are rising.
I have to agree with Sean by stating that it is very disheartening considering the time and effort that is put into managing my linkedIn account which has been a very powerful tool in my day to day work
