Hi
We have considered using some kind of notification but to date have been unable to reach a satisfactory 'method' suitable for LifeCast; LifeCast after all can be directed at any of the services and that shouldn't be super seeded by Twitter (or maybe not). Rest assured if we come up with a suitable solution we will implement it.

Hi
Sorry to hear you have propblems. Can you tell me what the version number of LifeCast is that you are using and also does either your screen name or password have any 'outlandish' characters in them?
I've tested my twitter account under Lifecast and I am experiencing the same problems as yourself so I will check here if anything has changed which might cause this problem.

LifeCast 2.0 submitted to iTunesConnectVersion 2 of LifeCast is currently under review and has an exciting new feature for Utterli users.
A new event type, Audio Recording has been introduced which can be insderted into any LifeCast. If your LifeCast is Utterli enabled you can then post your audio Utter to your Utterli blog.
Is that cool?
We have experimented with posting audio to Wordpress and to Tumblr with varying success; Wordpress users need an upgraded account to post audio but unfortunately we have no way of telling from your credentials if you have an upgraded account. Tumblr only allows 1 (yes ONE) audio post per day. For those reasons, we have switched off audio posting from LifeCast to Wordpress and Tumblr (because we kind of think we would receive the flak for those limitations imposed upon us from the blogging APIs).
2.0 is also a much more stable application than previously so we hope that your user experiences improve drastically with this release.
Your thoughts, as always are very welcome - just get in touch at www.sleepydog.net or post here.

Oh we're worried - because you're exactly the sort of user we want ..... trouble is (we think) picasaweb refuses connections to non google domains (i.e. your custom url). Thats what we currently think - but it is a big headache for us....
Hopefully we can get a solution other than - 'use a blogspot/blogger domain' - because that kind of answer would really suck.

LifeCast gets AudioLifeCast version 2.0 is now in Beta and the big news is that audio is supported.
Here is a recording I did earlier!
To post audio with LifeCast you will need an Utterli account - it’s free so why not give it a go?
In the future we hope to support audio in Tumblr and in MetaWeblog (which means MovableType and Wordpress) so stay tuned to see progress.

LifeCast 1.3.2 in The app storeA new version of LifeCast has been submitted to the app store and should be available soon.
Together with some changes to reblogr (which are already live) this version of LifeCast should bring about a much happier user experience.

Addendum
We're actively doing everything we can to get to the bottom of what is going on and have found that images are being rejected by picasaweb (and therefore blogger also) where previously we know they were working - be assured as soon as we have a solution we will update lifecast/rebloggr and let you all know.

Hi
The first thing to try is to log onto picasaweb in a web browser - Picasaweb sometimes asks for a 'captcha' sign-in if you have a failed login and LC cannot handle that currently.
Also - we have a new version of LC, v1.3.1 which addresses some blogger issues we have been having so it might be that as soon as that is available to you via the app store that it fixes your problems.
Let us know!

We had a few problems getting ping.fm to work as desired. Rest assured as far as extensions to LifeCast are concerned ping.fm is high on the list. – Damien Laughton, on January 02, 2009 11:24

Hi
LifeCast would only supply you with an authentication error from Blogger itself, i.e. LifeCast doesnt perform any authentication itself it passes on your credentials directly to Blogger and then if there is a problem it displays the error text from blogger itself. Blogger can be temperamental though - if you continue to experience problems then take a note of the the time the problems occurred and we will examine the logs to find out what the reply from blogger actually is.
