Great questions.
1-We worked with the energy modeling folks from Lawrence Berkeley Labs to come up with best estimates of your energy bill, but you can edit those numbers to make them more accurate and then we'll use your new values.
2-The providers we recommend are based on a matching algorithm that takes into consideration all the information from your energy profile including your location. The providers can specify how detailed of a match they want. For example, some providers have asked to only be matched to homeowners who have an energy bill of $300 or more. So the provider match definitely includes location match but can also include more detailed matches too.
