I agree with all of you! I don't want this either! I don't want to be googled and then show up. I've tried changing my name to something different and it didn't work. I'm still searchable.
Furthermore, the privacy settings on twitter are ridiculous. Not enough security. At least on facebook, you can have the option of not showing up on search engines.

Twitter has a lot more updating and security features to add on.

I'm not pleased.

Why won't my texted tweets show up??
My texted tweet aren't showing up. The text successfully sends on my mobile phone, but it doesn't show up on twitter. I decided to maybe start all over again with devices. Bad idea because now my phone won't become verified even though I I've texted the verification code several times.
