A comment on the question "What are the 3 most annoying things about BumpTop?" in BumpTop:
2) You can change icons, right-click, more, change icon. I use custom icons for almost everything. – digicjm, on April 13, 2009 23:24

It's not too difficult already for simple things. For example a window to the weather widget could just be a VB app that changes an image on BumpTop such as "Weather.jpg". BumpTop automatically re-loads an image when it is changed. Some more complex interfaces would be nice though would probably take a while to put together without going completely open source.

Picture frames should have auto-level optionWe already have the ability to adjust how much icons on the floor can be rotated but not for the walls. I for one don't really like having my pictures crooked all the time and would really appreciate a box for maximum angle for wall items.

Working beautifully on Windows 7I just installed Windows 7 Beta, downloaded the Nvidia Windows 7 Beta drivers and installed BumpTop without a hitch. The blue theme and the default Windows 7 theme go together perfectly, even the show desktop button goes right to BumpTop rather than the windows desktop. I have to say you guys did an excellent job supporting an OS that isn't even released yet :P
Unfortunately I don't have a touchscreen yet so I can't try out the multi-touch interface until I get a new tablet someday soon...

It would be very difficult to make it actually snow inside the room but there are window widgets for viewing the weather outside. I am working on one now using Crysis to reflect time of day information as well as weather but it is very slow going since it requires an enourmous amount of images. I am also trying to make them animated GIF's since it is overlooking the ocean with trees swaying in the wind.

No, theres a certain key combo you need to press in order to make it full screen (I know it's on the forum somewhere). That is one of the reasons that this needs to be implemented into the program settings, the shortcut text is just a developer workaround. Some other things such as the recycle bin have issues this way too.
digicjm replied on April 08, 2009 13:53 to the problem "STILL NO NON-DESKTOP FOLDER SUPPORT!" in BumpTop:
You need to go to the BumpTop path, right click on BumpTop.exe and choose Create Desktop Shortcut. Then go to your desktop and right-click on the shortcut and go to properties. In the target field after the file path in quotes type " -d " (without the quotes) followed by the path of the folder you want to use.
ex: "C:\Program Files (x86)\BumpTop\BumpTop.exe" -d C:\Users\Chris\BumpTop

STILL NO NON-DESKTOP FOLDER SUPPORT!I can tell you from experience that people will still use their windows desktop and BumpTop simultaniously. The problem is that using BumpTop effectively turns your windows desktop into a nightmare with photos and documents all over the place. I know that you can use shortcut perameters to set it to a different folder but it would make a huge difference if you could just set it in the settings dialog and it shouldn't be too difficult. I highly suggest that you add it to your next public release.

Only straighten wall iconsI think that you should have a seperate setting for straightening wall icons beyond a certain degree that doesn't affect floor icons. I can't stand having my picture frames becoming crooked all the time.

Customizable HotkeysCustomize the menu hotkeys? A simple tab to change the hotkeys on the settings form would be nice. I really want to use Middle Mouse button for fanning out.-
