Hey Kathleen,
I appologize that this fell through the cracks. Did you have any luck getting the application to work.
One thing to try.
Go to the settings
Adjust the volume with the slider on the application
Increase the ringer volume with the button on the side of your phone at the exact same time.
Sometimes the phone seems to decrease the volume for the entire application.
If that doesn't work, let me know what device you are on and what OS version you are running.

David Clements reported a problem in Apple on March 17, 2009 16:56:
No way to find new apps on App Store on IphoneAppStore on my Iphone no longer show most recent applications. 4th on the list for photography is Christmas Card. Release Nov. 27th? I want to be able to see what the new applications are?
David Clements replied on March 17, 2009 15:27 to the question "A query" in Gidigo:
If you have a second generation Ipod touch , which has external speakers then you will not need earphones for Suzu Meditate to work. If you have a first generation then you would want to find some inexpensive external speakers, or if your room is quiet enough you would likely hear the bell even if you headphones were plugged in and on the floor.
The way the Ipod/Iphone currently works you will have to have the device on and the application running for the singing bowl to play.

I just want to say that you guys are awesome. It is really great to wake up and see you all working together to make this app even better.
First things first, Andy I think you may have found a bug, I was pretty sure I test the scenario where you have the period at 4 minutes and the repeating bells at three minutes. That should result in 1 bell at 3 minutes and continuous ringing starting at 4 minutes. I will look into this today, find it , fix it and upload it to Apple.
Let me see if I can summarize an acceptable solution to the issues raised here. I really don't want to complicate the UI too much so we will see what we can do here.
1) Be able to indicate that you would like some number of bells to start the session.
2) Be able to indicate that you would like to start the session in some number of seconds.
3) Be able to indicate that you would like to end the session with some number of bells with silence after that.
And fix the bugs of course. :)
I think I might be able to pull this off while still having one configuration screen if I make the duration selection much smaller.
Did I miss anything crucial? I think if the UI is simple then we won't need saved settings.

There are now two modes:
Repeating Timer - which I believe is what was desired.
Set the timer to 30 minutes
Set the interval to 5 minutes.
Bell rings every 5 minutes for 30 minutes then it rings every 8 seconds.
Golden Mode -
Set the Timer to 30 minutes
Set the 'interval' to 5 minutes --- ( Not really an interval though )
Bells rings at 30 minutes
Then in rings approximately five times over the next 5 mintues , those bells are at decreasing intervals. The decrease is based on the golden mean.
Then it rings every 8 seconds.
Does that clear it up? I am sorry for the confusion. Golden mode is a little weird. The intention is so that you don't have to end your meditation right when the timer goes off. You can configure a more gently exit over some timer period.
