A comment on the question "View mail in HTML" in Mozilla Messaging:
Thank you! I will try this later - but it would be good to get a plugin to fix this – Jonathan, on November 19, 2009 17:06

Jonathan reported a problem in Skype on April 05, 2009 08:04:
So, what language to Skype support speak? Because they don't seem to understand "my Skype isn't working"!!Very VERY frustrated now - for 3 weeks, I've been going back and forth, logging problems about not being able to get a confirmation text to set my SMS number.
Basically, it goes:
Me: "My sender ID has reverted to the username and the verification text never arrives".
Skype: "We are pleased to see you have resolved your problem" OR "Here's how to set your sender number".
God, they are so DUMB! Or they just simply don't read the question. It's incredible, and incredibly RUDE to me, Can someone here PLEASE give me some support?

I've got the same problem here, but Skype support is being useless. They take DAYS to get back to me, then say "good to see your number is working" - when I said it WASN'T working!!

Like the other user, I am also trying to set a +447... number - it keeps forgetting it.-

Jonathan replied on January 15, 2009 00:01 to the question "RSS Badge?" in BlinkList:
There's been no support here or in the group since 30th november, no updates, nothing in the mindvalley (blinklist) blog since then, either.
I just stick around here to help people migrate and try and make the best of it - I had to re-tag ALL my 1,900 bookmarks because it didn't export them with tags. I used to like blinklist, now I think they're a bunch of cowboys.
Of course, what REALLY gets me is that many people offered to help, and beta test, for free, and they turned us down.
So much for sticking by them for 3 years!
Still, I'd like to know what the story behind the collapse was.

Jonathan shared an idea in BlinkList on January 08, 2009 17:56:
Chrome: How to stop the popup blocker blocking blinklistTo turn off popup blocking, edit your shortcut and instead of calling "chrome.exe" change it to "chrome.exe -disable-popup-blocking". Here's the thread:

I then used this switch to find loads more:

Of course, this is not a "solution" in the long term, but it's a workaround until they fix the missing dialogue box.
Jonathan replied on January 08, 2009 14:29 to the question "How much time until blinklist really dies?" in BlinkList:
Yeah, I thought so too. It has been totally abandoned with no updates to either the blog or features. I was patient for a year, but although I am not going to close the account, after over 3 years of blinking I had stopped using it and have switched to an alternative. It took a long time and wasn't easy, but ...-

I don't blame you at all. It's been WEEKS now, there have been no updates.
I think what is irking us most is that so many people OFFERED to beta test this FOR FREE on the newsgroup. Instead, they turned us down and just shoved out something totally untested.
Why didn't they run a beta in parallel first? I just don't understand what they were thinking.
Sure, the interface looks good, but underneath it's lacking. All gloss and no function.
In fact, the interface looks rather Mac-like. Which makes it like a Mac in two ways :)
