It would be good to have a "never show this person again" option, much like Facebook or LinkedIn's "People You Might Know". There's some people/bots whom I don't care to follow and I'd rather X them out!

Add a function to read the timeline of your friend's friends. So something like twitter.com/FriendX/friends . if possible you could read everyone's friends timeline. Private tweets would stay private.

Everything after the @username or command can be 140 characters, just start counting after that point.

Contacts section in major need of an overhaul

The Contacts list really needs to be overhauled. It would be good if you could do the following:

* Have the last email from said contact show up on the same section as their contact details
* Delete more than 20 people at a time
* Once you delete 20 people (or whatever the limit is) you return to your original spot, not the beginning of the list
* Add people I REPLY to but not necessarily those I INITIATE contact with
* Be able to edit contacts on a separate page, away from Gmail
* Have alphabetical tabs

This would be extremely helpful and make the Contacts section much much better.

Don't include "@username" or system commands into the 140 character limit. It gets frustrating when you can't put your whole message through because the @username is too long!

I agree with the Report Spam button. I don't think the potential of abuse would be too high - it would be good to have some people check spam reports so that legit accounts don't get mixed in (for example, pressing the wrong button).

Most of the time the public timeline is filled with twitters that aren't in languages I can understand. I was wondering if there was a way I could filter them - even filtering by character would be a massive help.
