A very useful option for me would be a plugin for Imagine (which itself is a image viewer plugin for Total Commander). The website for imagine is http://www.nyam.pe.kr/

On the other hand, I would very much like an option to replace the embedded preview with a smaller version, or even strip it entirely. (I'm working with .cr2 files, the embedded preview is 1600x1200 and 1/4 of that would be more than enough)
