Ken is working on this. We have commands and infrastructure ready for it, but need to do a little bit of internal reworking to make it go.

This loop was a serious problem. It's been made a bit more failsafe in that now if an error occurs on a poll it'll shut down polling for your feed (you can reenable it with the "on" command).

Sorry for the inconvenience. We're still trying to work out the best long-term solution to temporary failures, but in the meantime, really bad failures shouldn't hassle you.

The API should be compatible with twitter, but there is a lot of community driven improvements happening around identi.ca right now.
