Tim, thanks :) We actually turned on a bunch of this stuff on Sunday. Tweet -> title should be automatic for all users. While we don't do any default tags other than iPhone & gdzlla, any hashtags in your tweet will be added as tags to the flickr photo.
Finally, for photosets, you can select one from your account page (http://gdzl.la/account if you're logged in). In the options on the right, you'll see a dropdown with a list of your photosets. Pick one, confirm your password, and hit save, and you'll be good to go!

Hi guys, Just to provide a little insight, exif and res are Tweetie issues. I can only speak for gdzl.la, but we're just passing along the post data, definitely not resizing or stripping anything out. To shrink an image before sending it out over our (ample) bandwidth, after you've waited patiently for a full-size image to upload over a cell network just wouldn't make sense. As I understand, image compression will be an optional setting in Tweetie 2.1. As for twitpic-style fullscreen, gdzl.la has been working with Tweetie to make that happen in the next release as well, and I can confirm that everything we can do on our side to make that easy to implement has been done. At that time, we'll probably offer a setting for flic.kr urls, but native loading won't be an option if you use them, as we can't alter flickr's server response.
As a stop-gap for the tweet text not being included in the api call, we're going to implement a batch queue this weekend that will convert your tweet to the photo title (public twitter accounts only), and also add any hashtags as tags to the flickr photo. We'll also be adding support for adding your mobile uploads to a photoset by default. We want native flickr as badly as the next guy, but hopefully this will help in the meantime.

Just wanted to follow up, MediaTemple has processed our new IP, so we'll be turning ssl on tonight. – Dan Drinkard, on October 19, 2009 23:20

@ceejayoz We probably won't be able to kill it straight away, but that's definitely the goal. Fortunately, we get usernames with each post, so it'll be easy to fire off an @reply asking users to upgrade the endpoint to use ssl. – Dan Drinkard, on October 16, 2009 21:06

Hey guys, the SSL cert is on order, this is definitely the highest priority on our list. The OAuth comments above are accurate; without storing a hash of your password we can't authenticate you at all from the post Tweetie sends. If it helps, passwords are stored crypted & filtered out of the logs, and we're definitely using OAuth for flickr. – Dan Drinkard, on October 16, 2009 20:26
