TiVo doesn't quite work with Uverse, at least not easily. TiVoHD definitely does not work as the TiVoHD box requires a cable card. A card that isn't used or available through AT&T or from DirecTV for that matter.
To make matters worse, the Uverse box can only output one video signal at a time. So if you want to use the HDMI or Component signal (connected to your tele), hooking up the composite or s-video cable to your TiVo will force the Uverse box to shut down all outputs except one.
The only way I've been able to get TiVo and Uverse working together is to dedicate a Uverse box to the TiVo. Plug the S-Video output of the Uverse into the TiVo box.
Then there is the matter of controlling the Uverse box. It is less then simple. You can not have 2 Uverse boxes in the same room because the IR remote control signal from one will control the other. Sadly, the Uverse box is not user friendly enough to have an option to use a different set of remote commands. The TiVo box is but not the Uverse box. I use a blanket. Really! I put a blanket over the Uverse box connected to the TiVo. That works. But there are other problems with this set up. Check out sarre9.blogspot.com for more.
