I continue to have problems with it. My latest problem is the cams that used to come up for me aren't coming up now. I never get a response back when I report something. It really makes me mad because I paid for the upgrade and I know they're not gonna tack time on my subscription. Each week it's a new problem.

Forget my last post above. I'm sorry about the disruption I caused. For the record though, I tested the red dot feature by having a friend who was an admin dot me, and then seeing if anyone could see me type in the room. IOW, I wasn't red dotted for disruptive behavior. – Fact Checker, on May 23, 2008 17:20
A comment on the question "hey everyone, how are you finding PaltalkScene Express (alpha) so far...?" in Paltalk:
Dear Sir/Madam:
The point of this thread is to deposit all types of bug issues related to Paltalk Express/Alpha. There is no reason to start a new topic elsewhere about these issues. It's on the homepage of getsatisfaction.com/paltalk where it says the title, "hey everyone, how are you finding PaltalkScene Express (alpha) so far...?". I was lead to the homepage of getsatisfaction.com/paltalk by the "Report a bug" link in the Paltalk Express/alpha version.
Don't you think it's reasonable that a person using the program at that time would deposit their bug reports in this thread? Where else were the bug reports supposed to go? Can you or anyone point me to the thread where they were supposed to go?
If you can see that they were supposed to go here, then how could anyone want to see anything more than hundreds of replies to the original question?
As far as getting answers to one's questions, that's what the OTHER threads should be for. As far as I can see, this one is for bug reports.
But even if it wasn't, and this is another thread for answering questions about the bugs, then, still, given the amount of mail this particular thread would generate, why wouldn't someone just click on "Stop following this question", and monitor the thread manually?
I understand that usually when someone posts a lot of replies to a thread, they are going to get flamed. I guess I should have expected that. But I figured most would realize this thread was dedicated to bug reports, and not necessarily bug resolution. And yes, you're right my last response (as well as this one) was rather sarcastic; I don't like it that I'm the recipient of some people's misplaced rage.
Where are the bug reports supposed to go? If not this thread, where? If this thread, why wouldn't anyone expect this thread would generate 100's of responses from various people? – Fact Checker, on May 23, 2008 15:50

While I understand you feel as though you are being picked on and understandably defending your position, perhaps it would be nice if you sat back for a while at put some thought into things before you do them.
I have not disabled the responses because.. and I know this might be a surprise.. but I am looking to find out the answers to my questions. Also it is good to hear everyone else's experiences as they might have more luck with something than I do or even try something different. So i do read all of the emails that others send in.
What was asked of you in a rather rude way is that you try and send your questions in one single entry to lessen the amount of emails in one topic.
If your concern is to increase the amount of emails and therefore the likely hood of a response, why not open a different topic for each of your specific issues. That way .. you increase the amount of topics and you don't aggravate those of us not as enlightened as yourself.
Might I also point out, on virtually every discussion board on the NET, if you enter reply after reply you will either a)Get flamed or b) get ignored. But then I am sure this is how you act on all those places also. I found it interesting that you tested the dot and/or bounce features, as I would never have thought to do so.. Now I understand why you would be interested in that sort of functionality.
I hope that you really don't take my response to be overly sarcastic, as I took yours to me. But logic and previous experience means you probably will.

Here's an idea. How about if you look at the bottom of this e-mail, or any other e-mail you receive from Get Satisfaction, and notice the following:
This message sent from Get Satisfaction.
To change your email settings, click here.
Notice, you can change your e-mail preferences to not receive e-mail at all notifying you of new replies on any thread, or also, in the same e-mail you can also read a hyperlink that states, "Stop following this question", which, I presume, would apply to this thread only.
That, combined with the fact that if this thread was as popular as Paltalk would want, there would be literally hundreds of e-mails swamping your inbox from all sorts of people, would lead a rational person to realize that it would be best to elect to NOT receive e-mails notifying one of new replies to this thread.
So I'm sorry clicking on those links is so difficult, but I have little sympathy for those who do not know about these features, features I might add which are common to virtually every discussion board across the NET. – Fact Checker, on May 21, 2008 17:30

How about because everyone on here gets your emails? .. 10 not counting this one i am responding to at the moment. How about because if the Paltalk technicians were here realtime they would have responded somewhere between your 4th and 8th post.
That is not to say your information and questions are valuable and valid but its FRIGGING annoying to see my email box full of your conversation. – Belve, on May 21, 2008 07:42

Ok! How is it "pissing you off"? I figured the Paltalk technicians would appreciate real time reports. No one is forcing you to view this thread. Besides, no one else responded to this thread for 10 days before today, so it's not like I'm interrupting any other active conversation on the thread. But whatever. I'm pretty much done now anyway.

I don't get any notifications at all actually, even if I'm dotted and attempt to post to the chat. I do see a "dot" by my nickname however, when dotted. Also, of course, my text isn't seen by the room when I'm dotted, but again, I don't get a notification ("Alert") that tells me "Your text is disabled" or whatever it is when I am dotted and attempt to post to the room. I therefore don't get any "Alerts" from Paltalk, advertising rooms open at a given time, etc.

I can't publish video, but that's of course a limitation with the "alpha" for now. Other than that, and the issues above, I don't see any problems. It's working pretty well; I can take the mic. The room scroll moves rather well. I can access rooms like usual. I'm satisfied for now, and hope the issues above will be resolved, but I think I may use this interface to access Paltalk from now on.

I have a notification at the bottom of my Safari browser window (currently used to connect to Paltalk), "There were two errors opening the page. For more information, choose Activity from the Window menu". When done, the following two errors were found:
