Don Cosseboom replied on May 23, 2008 17:21 to the question "What do you mean by green?" in IzzitGreen:
Green is personal. There are as many ways of being green as there are people on this planet. We know might not be a satisfying answer, so here’s our take at what it means to us: green is keeping this planet up and running for ourselves and for future generations. This includes using energy and natural resources wisely and maintaining healthy people, places, and communities. Good without green or green without good is only part of where we all need to be. Green and good are intricately linked; they aren’t the same, but they need each other.
Don Cosseboom replied on May 23, 2008 17:20 to the question "Do you practice what you preach?" in IzzitGreen:
We’re doing our best, and we understand that green is a process. There will always be room for improvement. We recycle, try to use resources in the best way possible, take public transportation and ride bikes to work when we can, and telecommute when we can’t. Our approach is to minimize our resource footprint while maximizing our positive impact footprint.
The whole purpose of IzzitGreen is for you to decide which businesses are green and which need some green guidance, so we invite you to ask us questions and review us yourself. We promise not to hold anything back.
Don Cosseboom replied on May 23, 2008 17:19 to the question "Are you a non-profit, how do you make money?" in IzzitGreen:
At IzzitGreen, we believe that companies who are concerned about the planet can be profitable. We’re standing behind this by running a for-profit ship. Right now, our revenue comes from investors and advertisements. Although we are a for-profit company, we value non-profit organizations are currently partnering with The Food Project.
