When you sign up for a PBwiki Account, you can fill out the profile section. It will allow you to hide your email address and it also gives you a chance to include a URL as your "homepage" or favorite web site.
I have a feeling that your user is showing you a URL from their profile. Have them log into their PBwiki Account at http://my.pbwiki.com to check their profile settings.
When you invite someone, you can invite them as Reader, Writer, Editor, or Admin. or Page Level. Perhaps you were not able to see the Page Level entry since they requested access. I'll check on that to see if there is a problem with the Request Access feature.
dona weisman asked a question in PBwiki on July 17, 2008 19:17:
User address shows up as url link that doesn't existOne of the users in my wiki reflects properties that indicate her address is a link, not an email address. Neither she nor I can understand that. I wasn't able to remove her from the user list, so she submitted a request to join, and I approved that. The options didn't allow me to approve her as a page-level, so I approved her as a writer. When I looked at the user list, I found that it had changed the previous entry for her to writer level but KEPT the link as her address. We're back where we started!
