how can i get one google map with all my friends who are in range of the map at whatever zoom level it happens to be at?

i want real-time as well. the thing is im often not able to update my location realtime but i already know where i will be.

eg. im about to leave for a cafe that does not have wifi. before i leave the house i'd like to set my location to 'the cafe', to take effect in an hour from now.

integrate with Fire eagle. they do a better job of resolution of location. its nice to reveal my neigborhood instead of the all or nothing choice i have with brightkite now.

there is a gem called 'oauth' and a couple google code projects. im not sure which projects are dead and which are alive but im starting by looking at the gem.
