Would there still be a problem if we did not host the file ourselves, but instead used one of the many embeds that can be found all over the web of this video.

There are copies on collage humor, dailymotion, youtube and many others. If we were to use one of these services to embed the vid on site, would that be acceptable?

mirrors can be added to any link on M&C, and often are.

If the mods feel one of the mirrors provides a better experience due to quality or the possibility of embedding the video on M&c itself, then they have the option to do so.

Embed's will always take precedence over off-site links when it comes to videos.

Should the Youtube link be pulled, your link would automatically go back to being the 'blessed' mirror, unless another, better embed is available.

You still get credit for the link and all points through voting and number of hits, even if you are not the one who submitted the mirror.

I hope this clears things up, if not feel free to ask follow-up questions and I'll try to be more clear with my answers.

The issue really isn't with M&C, but with the sites that actually host the embedded videos. Be sure to stop by other sources such as Comedy Central and share your well put thoughts with them as well.

I've never considered M&C a 'kid-friendly' site. Nor would I want it to be.

While the placeholder for the video is still on the site, no hosted file or working link is available to view.

Tis a shame, though, as the work that went into it is outstanding, and personally, I don't think anyone will NOT go see the movie simply because the intro movie was previously viewed online...in fact, I think it would have the opposite effect.

Having animated ads right next to the game screen is extremely annoying. Sometimes ads placed so close to the game screens also lead to inadvertent clicking on an ad...which I'm sure don't much bother the site owners, but I can assure you, in drives the person playing the game nuts.

I think they are saying (perhaps I'm wrong here though) that some people may watch this film and then go and do something 'over the top' in terms of the main question the film asks...'If you're child was abducted, how far would you go.'.

Personally, I feel this is silly, the same as saying that video games are the reason for violent crime.
