Doug replied on October 30, 2009 14:44 to the question "How do I organize contacts for a church with several active volunteer programs" in AirSet:
Zac, sounds like you'll want to share some contacts between cloud computers.
I'd add the contacts originally to the group they're most closely associated with, then use the Contacts's application's File > Share dialog to share that contact with other cloud computers (editable or not as desired).
Any contact added to a master computer will automatically show up on cloud computers having it as a master, so I'd place only contacts suitable for wide distribution there.
Hope that helps

Doug replied on September 24, 2009 18:26 to the question "Credit card payments" in AirSet:
Hi Mano, we've been in discussions with both our payment gateway provider merchant bank. The bottom line is that AirSet is approving the transaction at the gateway and your bank is declining to make the make.the payment. All we can suggest at this point, other than to get a better answer from your bank about these specific transactions, is to try a different card. Sorry.
A comment on the question "No Airset on EnV3" in AirSet:
I checked with the engineer, he says, "we are working on it, it will be a few weeks" - this is to get the client to Verizon, who will release it after their only internal testing deems it OK. – Doug, on September 21, 2009 22:01

Doug replied on September 21, 2009 16:54 to the question "How do I subscribe to Airset Mobile on a Blackberry Tour from Verizon? Blackberries don't have the "Get it Now" feature. Airset runs on the Tour quite well." in AirSet:
Just copying an email explanation here for anyone else interested in this issue:
Verizon's Blackberry is a bit of an anomaly in that, as you say, it does not run Verizon's standard "Get it Now" service. The Blackberry instead runs the AirSet Mobile (Java) client as you discovered. This client is not paid for through Verizon, but rather through AirSet. Go to your Personal Cloud Computer and clck on the green shopping cart icon, and you will see this option; click Subscribe and follow the instructions to check out.

Hi mano, our payment gateway is in fact showing some declined charges for an individual from Australia, though the comment at the gateway is "Declined (Card declined by issuer - Contact card issuer to determine reason.) " I am not sure why this would end up with AirSet saying the details are incorrect, but I am sure that the above is why the gateway is not accepting that particular card.

I use FireFox myself (and am presently logged into AirSet). I would suggest (1) try clearing cookies, and if that doesn't do it, then if that doesn't fix it I'd (2) suspect a FireFox add-on, and would just disabling them to see if one might be interfering, then narrowing down the testing to figure out which one it is.
Doug replied on September 08, 2009 02:11 to the question "Instructions for my group members." in AirSet:
Pat,
The email sent out is pretty simple, defaulting to:
Join me the My Group group (this being a link)
Thanks,
Your Name
When you send invitations, you're able to customize the invitation, but the link to AirSet is standard. When the user follows the link, they're taken to AirSet and through registration, and then to your group's cloud computer, to the Default Page, which defaults to the Desktop, but can be changed by you in Administration.
What they should do from there kind of depends on the group; if it's calendar focused, I might suggest changing the start page to the Calendar, so they just go right there. If your group uses a variety of apps, I'd suggest placing icons on the desktop for the ones you use, and editing the announcement to welcome them and direct them to the areas in use.
Chris's suggestion is a good one, as it can let you test how these customizations come across to a new user.
Doug
