Loren doesn't care enough to let you speak for the company AND also doesn't care enough to come answer major concerns publicly? You guys are digging yourself a larger and larger hole here. Difficult to believe that you or Loren could be so ignorant. It should be obvious that for every one person asking for ping.fm integration on this forum (and not buying Tweetie 2 because it's missing), there's a hundred more who aren't here but also aren't buying Tweetie for the same reason.

And your suggestion that adding optional ping.fm integration would come "at the expense of other features" is downright insulting. Name one other feature that this many users are BEGGING you to implement.

I used to be a HUGE evangelist for Atebits and everything you were up to. But you just used up my last shred of respect for this company.

If they're on vacation, it's the longest in recorded history. Atebits: what is the point of having a Get Satisfaction "customer support" community if you're going to completely ignore it? I'm not sure why this is still even remotely an issue. Why would Atebits dig in their heels on this matter? Just add optional ping.fm integration to the Mac and iPhone apps. There's no way it can be more difficult than dealing with thousands of disappointed customers.

I used to be one of Tweetie's biggest evangelists. Told everyone who would listen to buy it for their iPhone. Now I won't even upgrade to version 2, because it doesn't have this painfully simple feature. Please.

I would love this! Just add a check box to the New Tweet window that is checked by default. When composing a new Tweet, you would have the option to uncheck it if you want the Tweet to go only to Twitter. Currently when I want a Tweet to only go to Twitter, I have to use TwitterFon. :(
