It seemed this problem was solved, but it's reappeared recently (even after updating Gcal provider to 0.5.5). Strangely, it's only happening with some events, not all.

Yes, Postbox wouldn't compact the folder after I deleted the messages "normally" (using the Delete command). I had to forcefully compact the file using sed to delete the messages I had just moved (copied actually) to the Archive folder.

Ah, thanks to sed and the mbox file format that Postbox (and Thundebird) uses I was able to compact my Inbox "by hand" and got it working! I lost an entire working afternoon, hope it won't blow up again. – Daniel Serodio, on November 19, 2009 19:17

This happens very often on some mailing lists I subscribe to. People using e-mail clients without threads hit "reply" just to avoid typing the mailing list's address and mess things up for people with threading mail clients... I'm seeing this problem too. My (POP3) Inbox has 4 Gb, I moved lots (approx. half) of messages to the Archive folder, but I'm still unable to compact my Inbox so it shrinks below 4 Gb!!! Help!

You can find an explanation for "Compact folder" on Thunderbird (which is the base for Postbox) here.
But I'm afraid it's not working on Postbox like it should

Thank you, that's exactly what I was looking for. I didn't know WorldTraveller could calculate the conversion, I thought I only showed the exchange rate.

Choice of exchange rate format

In Brazil (and I suppose other countries too) we use a different format for currency exchange rates, which is 1/(exchange rate), i.e. instead of seeing:
R$ 1.00 = US$ 0.57
I'd like to see:
US$ 1.00 = R$ 1.75

It would be nice to have this as a preference, like the temperature unit is a preference.
