The images are always the latest available from the NWS at the time you start the application. If you turn on the "auto update" option, we will check for new images every 7 minutes. The NWS updates the data more frequently during bad weather, and less frequently during good.

Well at least one class of artifacts has been corrected, looks like there's another case to fix now. Thanks for bringing it to our attention. It's tricky to track all of these things down.

Actually it appears that the download works, the pages listing the version just haven't been updated by Apple yet - at least for me.

2.4.1 is now available and should fix the problem. Sorry for the headache, believe me! Also a favor. We got slammed with 1-star reviews during the crashing. It would really encourage us to keep supporting the product if we can get some good reviews back on the board. Ratings and reviews are PER VERSION, so even if you have rated and reviewed the product before, taking a few seconds to do it one more time can really help.

We don't send your login information or other personal data to Bing, so I don't think it's possible to save them really. Is there something happening that makes you suspect it is in fact some how associating them with your bing account, or are you just asking?

We don't save search history either....

Weather Radar 2.4 Download Problems

Last night Apple, after 2 weeks of testing finally made Weather Radar 2.4 available. However, there appears to be some sort of major problem with the binary, as it seems to crash for most people. We are working with Apple to resolve the problem, but it's a very slow (and painful process). You basically have to resubmit, and wait.

Unfortunately, there's no way to roll back to the old version or to quickly post a new version. Please sit tight, and keep your fingers crossed.

We've got a known problem with the application binary on the app store, so it appears to be crashing for most people I'm afraid. We're working with Apple to resolve the problem.

Unfortunately Apple doesn't make it possible for us to revert to the previous version, or to even quickly post a bug fix. Believe me, we'd like nothing more than to resolve this quickly, but unfortunately all we can do is sit tight.
