Managed Mode: Alternate folder structure in case of missing tags?Is there a way to have Songbird use an alternate folder organization for Managed Mode, if the tags you tell it to use are missing?
For example: I only have a few songs that have the Album Artist tag - mostly for things like grouping "Fear of Pop" with "Ben Folds" - and for the ones that have it, I want them to be sorted that way. But if I tell Songbird to set up folders by Album Artist, it takes the vast majority of my library that DOESN'T have this tag, and dumps it all into an "Unknown Album Artist" folder. What I want to do instead is have Songbird look at the Artist tag instead if the Album Artist tag doesn't exist. I believe iTunes does this in its sorting, but I'm hoping to move away from iTunes entirely and just keep it around for AAC playback and the music store.

Well, it looks like I fixed it. I'm not sure what part of the process actually solved the problem, so here's all the steps I took. Maybe you guys can figure out what went wrong - or if someone else has the problem later on, maybe this will help them fix it.
I thought it might have been something that went wrong with my install, or some kind of add-on conflict, so I went to the Profile Manager and deleted the default profile. I went through the setup again, unchecked every recommended extension this time (I had them all checked the first time), and imported my songs by scanning folders instead of directly importing the iTunes library. Once the songs were imported, M4A playback worked without any problems, but M4P gave me a core error (as expected). I installed QuickTime Playback, restarted songbird, and managed to play one of every file type.
My first guess as to what actually happened would be a profile that was corrupted somehow, but it could also be a problem with an add-on. I'll be adding them and testing one at a time just to be safe - if it turns out to be an add-on, I'll update this.

Why can I play M4P files but not M4A,even with QuickTime and QuickTime Playback both installed?I am using Songbird 1.0 on Windows XP. I have QTLite installed, and have the QuickTime Playback plugin installed. M4P files (i.e. FairPlay protected from the Apple Store) will play, but M4A files (i.e. unprotected AAC files) will not. I've tried using both QuickTime and QTLite, and I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling both. None of the existing items on here seem to have a fix. Does one exist?
