dwmillerard asked a question in Flock on November 08, 2009 18:37:
Flock won't connect to the internetI have a Toshiba PC running Vista. I was running Flock just fine for some time, then it started crashing constantly, then simply stopped connecting to the web. I tried uninstalling the browser and downloading a new version, but it still does the same thing. The error I get is "Flock can't establish a connection to the server at redir.flock.com". We don't have a proxy and the only Firewall we are using is the Windows Firewall. I use Trend Micro security. I have had to switch to Firefox, which is working fine, but liked the functionality of Flock.
How do I get Flock to connect to the internet?

Favorites Manager Not WorkingFavorites Manager doesn't work. Favorites are there, I've exported and imported into other apps, but favorites manager is blank.
I'm on 1.2.7 on Windows XP.

I have a similar, but not identical problem. I can see my favorites in my drop down and in the sidebar, as well as on the "my world" page, but my "favorites manager" is blank except for folders I created. The folders are empty, but listed. So whilst I can see and use my favorites, I can't manage them.
I exported the bookmarks.html file, opened it in IE, saw that all favorites are there, re-imported it into Flock and still have the same issue - no Favorites Manager.
I am using 1.2.7 on Windows XP. I recently installed the delicious and stumble upon extensions. Delicious seems to have completely taken over my browser as I now have toolbars and icons everywhere (which I don't need - one would suffice).
How can I get Favorites Manager working again? This is a crucial element to the way I browse and work.
Thanks,
dwm

Success! I have added my phone to my first account, tested it, and will next delete the other account. Thank-you all for your assistance. – dwmillerard, on December 21, 2008 00:02

MDY:
Thank you for your note. Unfortunately, whilst it has revealed the problem, it hasn't solved it. I sent the update and discovered that there is, indeed, another account I must have erroneously set-up, with which the phone appears to be associated. I have logged onto that account and gone into Settings/Devices. However, everytime I select "Delete and Start Over" I get an error saying "Twitter is over capacity" or "Something is technically wrong". Should I just delete the account? Will it let me reassign the phone to my real account if I do so without deleting the device from this one first?
Thanks for your help.

mdy: I'm having this problem and can't find anyone to help. I did both these things you suggested, but can't find either. On my "friends" page there is no choice available for setting a device "on" or anything - no device. On the Device page, there is no "on" choice, either. However, if I try to register by phone, it tells me the number already exists. Also, when I send "on" it replies that my phone is connected. I am, however, able to receive updates from 1 user only. Any ideas? This is getting very frustrating. – dwmillerard, on December 20, 2008 09:10-
