Ditto with me on this. I've followed Songbird since a very early and buggy beta version and was impressed enough to recommend it as an open source, cross platform alternative over all other products. Now it is utterly useless to me. Could you not at least do a community build for us for this major release? You wouldn't have to support it at all, but to have it avaliable. Failing that, some instructions on what I need to compile it (I'm pretty terminal savvy as I imagine others are - we can all do a couple of make can't we?)

This is an absolutely stupid idea particular for an open source product. There seems no really good reason when you are providing 64-bit Linux support whose userbase must be vanishingly minimal. I can't afford a new Mac, and now I'm not let in on the fun?
