You're kidding right? You've been using our bag for over 10-years, yet, a 'soccer mom' is caught using the bag, and it automatically is no-good? Sounds like an identity crisis... Would the mother of your child prefer a fu-fu diaper bag or, a multi-pupose, bomb-proof, do-everything messenger bag?
The Tagjunkie if I recal is the XL classic messenger...which REI doesn't/can't sell AND, if you want Made-in-SF you still can and WE STILL DO. We appreciate your long-time loyalty and are sad if you decide to switch, Check out our site and build-your-own bag; It'll be uniquely yours, made in the USA and will fit your loads.

1) Army/Green Haze/Army is a current F'08 color for the Classic Messenger Bag. Our website has a lot of items however it does not carrying everything in every color. XS is the only size that colorway is available on the site. You can contact your local retailer to order one in a different size.
2) The center divider is a feature you can have added to a custom classic messenger bag.
3) Only custom and limited edition bags are made at our San Francisco facility.

Z replied on June 26, 2008 17:17 to the question "Why are you having bags made in China instead of anywhere in the US?" in Timbuk2:
In a perfect world, all of our production would be domestic, the reality is, consumers are not willing (at least not yet) to pay the end costs of large-scale domestic production. This is a larger question regarding our country's economy in general but the root issue is the buyer (our dealers and ultimately you, Joe-citizen) wants a cheaper product at a lower cost. Once the buyer is willing to accept the higher costs associated with domestic production, then you will see a paradiam shift in attitudes.
We do have a factory in San Francisco that we own, and you can have a messenger bag built domestically, we take pride that we're able to employ local workers and the fact we're the last of a dying vestage. Our factory does as much as possible given our space, talent and ability to recieve raw goods. Next time you're in town, ask for a tour, we'll be glad to show you.

Z replied on May 06, 2008 15:26 to the question "Grabstrap and Matrix messenger" in Timbuk2:
From the factory...
I would not recommend placing a grab strap on this style. The double needle stitching would have to be removed, the grab strap inserted then re-stitched. The fabric used in the matrix is difficult to re-sew, especially a double needle re-sew. In addition the fabric in the area where the new grab strap would be inserted would be weakened due to the addition of so many new needle holes.-
