TripIt offers an iCal feed. Get the URL of that feed.
Then give that URL to Dopplr as if you were getting it from, say, Google Calendar. Go to the "Subscribe to external calendars" page on Dopplr and give us that URL.

Hi Scooter,
There's a much longer answer to this but basically it boils down to one thing: there is no freely accessible service that provides reliable, global weather information--be it current, forecast or historical--that we can hook into in a way that would be satisfactory as a "product offering". At least there wasn't the last time we checked...
The problem gets worse when you figure that every weather data provider uses a different, often in-house, identification scheme for places, none of which correspond point-for-point with geographical place identifiers.
I did find one or two that offer Lat/Long based searching, but their APIs are closed/commercial, if they exist at all.
Thanks for the inquiry. Believe me, we would *love* to see it too, and the sooner the better. The more folks ask for it, the closer we might get.
best,
B.

Apparently people have already started investigated the carbon impact of human spaceflight:

I second this request: just tried to add my London to Brighton cycling marathon but there is no cycling option. And having to put it under car/train/air looks really silly - I wish there was just an "other" option. I like to have correct data for my record as well - not just for the carbon calculation. But at least adding the carbon profile for the bike should be easy - it can simply be zero. Or do we need to count carbon needed to produce all the food and drink that will enable me to cycle such a distance? Now I'm confused!

I especially approve of the walking/cycling/bus part :) – kira, on May 22, 2008 18:33

That's great about the buses, maybe you can then have a "none of the above" option, for those of us who occassionally travel by cycling, walking, or....boats! thanks for your answer – ladelentes, on May 12, 2008 06:34

Ah, a transfer is different, and we don't really have a good answer for that at the moment. I suppose you might create consecutive trips, which isn't ideal, of course.
(One thing I have to ask: How do you meet people at airports during transfers? Do you go outside of security and then go back through security? Because you can't get into the main terminal without a boarding pass. Seems like a fairly rare case, but maybe I'm missing something...)
