ratings irreversible - a slip can't be amended.

Rating a post: Please could you make the rating a bit more controllable? Currently one slips one's pointer over the star and then clicks once. I accidentally rated a post down which I felt was a pretty good post (I wouldn't have posted a rating but definitely not a bad one!!). There's no way to reverse this. Please make it reversible?

Can't log in.

Can't log in! I click on the comments link ("click here" to log in) and it takes me to the login page and I put my name and password in, and it takes me back to the post but I'm not logged in!

What worked for me was CTRL-F5. A friend told me about that. But she said it doesn't always work and I have to add it only patches it - Facebook still "falls off" every so often.

Try this - CTRL-F5 to fix a page that loaded badly

A week back I couldn't get into my account; the pages would load (halfway, with the buttons scrambled) but with errors. Most of the links didn't work. I trawled the "Help" section for ideas but couldn't get those links to work either. So I came here for ideas and found a frustrated crowd but nothing that really fixed the problem.

I emailed a friend to ask her help in keeping one of my applets alive and she suggested this: Press CTRL-F5 whenever the page loads with errors. (She also suggested reboot but I haven't tried that yet. The other one has worked so far.

I still don't know if the error lies with the server, our internet (vodacom), or with the website itself but CTRL-F5 fixed most of the problem. Some of the links on Sorority are still gone but the rest is functioning.

You have a point. I'm also glad that people on GetSatisfaction give feedback; it's a desolate feeling when one experiences a problem and no way of contacting help.

Btw a friend gave me a tip that patched the problem temporarily: She said, CTRL-F5, or reboot. This kind of info is not something I'd have been able to figure out alone. I hope others will find this helpful.

Hey I'm not from Facebook, but you'll probably need a second email account to do that. Try Yahoo or Gmail or AOL for a free account. Hope this helped. If you hear anything from Facebook itself please let us all know because we're wondering if they're still alive.

Hey, I have a great idea. How about the "help" link on Facebook actually leading to an email, and a help desk on the other side dealing with questions? Surely Facebook is making enough money from Google ads that they can pay a few secretaries?

Why doesn't facebook load properly and half the links don't work?

Why can't I contact Facebook with this? My whole facebook profile is scrambled and most of the links don't work. This is following my taking a quiz "chav, nerd, emo..." and so on. Who screens these aplets? The other aplet I was using was My Fairyland but I've been using that for months without problems.
