Wow, sorry for the LATE response...
This is indeed an issue that we'll consider for one of our next versions.
What we meant for, though, was:
You'd add EOB, and "Hill Clarian" also as tags.
This way, you can search for these tags from the search text-box.
Notice that you can add tags to any collection - not only from the tags on the left-hand side of the application, but you can also add tags from the text-box on the bottom

I hope I'm clear,
Cheers,
Eitan.

Hi, sorry for the late response...
It will take me a couple of days to prepare the translation files.
In the mean time - the tags translation can easily be added to our coming version.
The translation files can be found here:
http://drop.io/42TagsFiles (Tags.txt and TagTranslationExcel.xlsx).
You don't need to translate both of them - one is enough.
Both of the files should be easy to work with.
Thanks!
Eitan Burcat replied on May 09, 2009 23:47 to the question "attach files to tiff" in 42Tags:
In order to attach a file to a collection, you have to click the "Attach" button on the files viewer (see image).
I suspect you have tried to use the "Save as attachment" menu option, which does something else... (Allows you to scan another document to the same collection).
Indeed it's a confusing interaction, and we'll think of another solution for this.
Anyhow - what you're looking for is the Attach button, which unless we have a weird bug - should do the work.

Eitan Burcat replied on January 31, 2009 15:15 to the question "Network Attached Storage" in 42Tags:
You can already store your files on a network server with the current version.
Instructions can be found here:
http://www.42tags.com/faq.htm#How%20do%20I%20move%20the%20data%20folder
Important notice: if 2 different computers try to work with these files in the same time - these files will probably get corrupted.
Therefor it is highly recommended to work with 42Tags only with a single machine.
It's too early to talk about the future network support of 42Tags, but: All the images are currently saved in non-proprietary TIFF format, so they are migratable already today.

Jim hello,
It was a nice challenge to find this one, but it seems like PDFCreator is what you are looking for. It's open-source, and it looks like it can print TIFF/JPEG files out of any application that is capable of printing.

Hi,
When you export a whole collections, the filenames remain as the filenames inside 42Tags. If you need any further renaming, I'd suggest trying out one of these:

Eitan Burcat replied on September 22, 2008 19:45 to the problem "Can't import .PDF files" in 42Tags:
Igger hello,
Sadly, I don't have a quick fix for this.
Currently it is possible to add PDF files only as attachments to a package, and not as regular imported pages.
PDF is a very complex file format with lots of legacy versions, and therefor it is quite expensive to support.
We are constantly considering adding full support for PDF files, but so far we didn't think that the price and effort were justified.
Thank you for sharing this feedback with us, it sure pushes us in the direction of making that extra investment. We will sure be happy to notify you when that feature will be supported.
In the mean time, I'm looking for some good PDF to Tiff conversion utilities, so far with little success. I'll sure update if and when I'll find something.
Eitan.

Eitan Burcat replied on July 23, 2008 20:31 to the discussion "PNG Compression" in 42Tags:
PNG and TIFF are very different. PNG is lossless while TIFF with its JPEG compression is lossy.
From some tests I did with Nconvert.exe, it seems that scanned *pictures* will come out much larger with PNG (One of my scans was turned from 74k-Jpeg to 470k-PNG - almost 7 times bigger!).
While most of the scanned *documets* might come out smaller (this requires further investigation). I converted already-jpeg-compressed-scans and got file sizes that were 50% smaller to 100% bigger with PNG. Of course, that encoding the original scanned document directly to PNG without going through JPEG will probably give better results.
Anyway, I'm not sure the answer can be conclusive here... We'd need better statistics to find out if this might actually save disk-space, and how much.
So far, IMHO, it seems that our file-sizes are fair (as long as the DPI and the JPEG compression are kept within reasonable limits...) - 100-150DPI and 70% compression give out results that are quite good.

To an extent, I agree with Go.
I believe that many users get confused when they first see a GetSatisfaction page, when all they needed was a fix for their problem.
If I could brand my product page, so that it would look like my website - it would solve some of the confusion.
Landing in a page that look totally different, raises questions and causes confusion.-
