Just reporting in (been a while). Still having the same problem with tags. The weird thing is, it seems that some other people *can* add / delete tags. I have tried on my account with many combinations of OSes and browsers and can't add / delete tags. Just my account? Weird.

Incidentally, the tags I do have lately are those imported from Flickr -- and those don't come across well, but I can't delete them. Grrrr...

And while I'm whining (might as well go whole-hog):
--the "My World" page doesn't seem to update correctly
--it has been a long, long time since I've received e-mail notices from Dandelife. I really miss this, as it's the only way to know if/when someone comments on an older story.

Whining done. I'm going to get some cheese now.

Can't Upload Avatar Pic

A new user (koffeerox) pointed out a problem with avatar pictures:

"As a new user of dandelife, I've been getting the "Status: 500 Internal Server Error Content-Type: text/html " message whenever I click on the default dandelion icon where my profile picture goes. I've been wanting use a custom profile pic, but cannot seem to do this as I get that message each time."

I tried this out myself and got the same error. I tested with the following combinations:

Vista / IE 8
Vista / FF 3.1 beta 3
XP / IE 8
XP / FF 3.0.7
Linux / FF 3.0.7

Unable to Download Account in XML

When I go to the "Account Settings" page and click the link to download my account data in XML format, all I get is the error page: "HTTP 404 not found". Which is odd... it worked just fine about a week ago. (I back up my data... I'm anal that way. ;))

As always, I'm running Windows Vista and using Firefox 3.1 beta 2 and Internet Explorer 7 and 8.

Can't Add or Delete Tags

Can't add tags to stories. When I type in a tag and click the "Add" button, the little pop-up that says "Saving new tag" pops up briefly, but the tag never sticks. Using Windows Vista and Firefox 3.1 beta 2. (Does the same thing using Internet Explorer 7 and 8.) Oddly enough, the "add people" feature seems to work fine.

On a related note, I want to delete some the tags that get imported with flickr photos, but they won't delete.

Minor stuff, but I like to tag my stories.

Ok, my bad on the Firefox login problem. I *can* login with Firefox, I just need to click the "login" button rather than hitting Enter after I type the password. Can't add or remove tags in Firefox, either. However, the WYSIWYG editor for story creation doesn't show up in IE, but works just fine in Firefox.

Same issue WRT being unable to login using Firefox 3.1 beta 2 on Windows Vista. I can login if I use Internet Explorer. Only issue I've noticed with IE is that I am unable to add or remove tags on my stories.

Hi, Kelly! No, there used to be links to get to your blog (http://dandelife.com/intrepideddie/blog) and timeline (http://dandelife.com/intrepideddie/ti...). I think they showed up if you clicked on your name, or maybe it was under the "Life" link. Anyway, the only way to get to them now is to type it into the address bar. Unless I'm missing something obvious (which is quite possible). – Eddie, on October 21, 2008 05:29

Noticed a number of missing "features" from Dandelife lately:

1. Avatars of logged-in visitors no longer appear on story pages.
2. New stories don't appear in "My Streams" or "My World" -- just bits.
3. When I hit "Submit" after creating a new story, I get an error page. The story does get posted, though. (Incidentally, I only noticed this after FireFox upgraded to 3.0.3).
4. The links to get to one's "Blog" or "Timeline" are missing.
5. Haven't received any network update / comment notification e-mails in quite a while.

Hoping this just means an upgrade is in the works! Woo-hoo!

This has been mentioned in a couple of comment postings on Dandelife, so I thought I'd get them posted here.

1. Unable to edit/delete comments posted on photo bits (possibly other bits?)
2. If a flickr photo title has a single quote (apostrophe) in it, the import function truncates the title at the apostrophe (flickr problem or dandelife problem?)
3. If you copy and paste a story from Microsoft Word, some error messages come along with the text. This is more of a Microsoft issue, but a good work-around is to use "notepad" as a middleman (strips out all the crappy Word metadata)

Can't wait to see the next version you guys keep teasing us with!

A feature I'd like to see is the ability to search or sort the "Wander" pages. For example, just show the Dandelife comment streams, or just the Flickr streams, etc. Maybe the ability to sort by names (though, the streams are already grouped nicely that way).
