Post the titles of all contributors in their byline

The recent upgrade that shows bylines on the homepage is a step forward. However, they still are confusing.

Some writers have a full title, like so: "Jeff Arnold AnnArbor.com." But others just have a name, even though they're clearly affiliated with the .com in some way.

Posting titles like "Unpaid Arts Blogger" or "Government Reporter" would be much more helpful.

MattH marked one of Edward Vielmetti's replies in AnnArbor.com as useful. Edward Vielmetti replied to the question "What did the software upgrade do?".

This is a great addition, but the "Annarbor.com" label is confusing; some folks don't have it, which doesn't signal that they're "contributors" or whatever the label is; it just looks like someone decided not to label them.

I figured it out: you have to click the "Everything" tab. Otherwise it just shows the featured posts, and there's only one today.

Flickr Slideshows have all sorts of unnecessary clutter but no captions. They also use about half of the available column width. The style used on The Big Picture is excellent -- large photos, clear captions, natural (aka OS-native) scrolling, not some Flash approximation.

It would be cool if Movable Type had some formatting options for RSS feeds in. So for example, if the Outside.in feeds lists ArborWiki as the source of an entry, the system applies one template, and if it's from the Chronicle, another template, and so on.

That way ArborWiki changes could show up as "The Flying Sheep Yarns page on ArborWiki was edited..."

The header image on the "Contact Us" page (http://www.annarbor.com/staff/) is still being served from the staging server. This means that (a) the visitor is prompted for a username and password and (b) the image does not load.

I'd be interested in something like a "Recent comments" page that just streamed comments, or put threads with the most recent comments at the top.
