Thank You so much for the consideration!
Oh, and congrats on taking the leap of faith of circumventing the missing paid upgrade feature of the App Store by charging again and SUCCEEDING BIG TIME despite some harsh critics, which was to be expected. I hope You stick with it and will offer us many great releases stylishly implementing all future twitter features for many years to come. :-)
Cheers!

delicious support for the "Read Later" buttonCould You please add delicious support in the "Read Later" section, maybe with the option to pre-define a tag, so that it would be a one-click-and-done action as is the case for the two existing services Instapaper and Read It Later?
Those don't cut it for me unfortunately, just tried both of them, I'd really love to be able to use delicious as I do for all my other link collections.
Thanks!

You're most welcome, though I just got criticized by AvatarX for ignoring Rejawoo 2.0, which, according to him, when turned into an app via Bubbles, would be oh so much better. I tried it (in a popup window, as I did not want to install Bubbles just for that) and - nah! Can't even handle Whispers right and only works 100% in IE8 - IE8!? Good grief!
I do agree with You that in the end it does not really matter who create(s/d) the ultimate, all-encompassing Rejaw desktop client, as long as there is one.
Thanks again for Your work and keep coding! :-)

No way to create paragraphs in repliesHi there!
Checked out Your client again after a couple of weeks and I have got to say - it's working even better!
The only thing I noticed right now is that there is no way to create a paragraph when using the reply field. When shouting or whispering, I can just hit enter and the item does not get sent until I click the button, which is good.
So, could You please enable this option for replies as well, or alternatively make it so that pressing Shift-Enter will create a parapragh (like on rejaw.com)? Even my replies happen to be kind of longer, so I would really appreciate that!
As always thanks so much in advance for all Your work!
Cheers!

Alright, even though I have 4GB of RAM I guess I'll stick with the website then for a few more weeks. It's coming along rather nicely, though, I'm sure You'll get there! Thanks for looking into the text area issue!
BTW - when I asked the Rejaw developers last year about the release of a Windows desktop client, they said they were going to publish one early this year. Was that You and Your work they were talking about, or is there another, 'official' app in the making, that You would know of? Just wondering...

Ah, wonderful! First time I was actually able to reply to some postings thanks to the working umlauts!
What I would still like to see is a bigger reply window at the bottom. The font size is ok for me, the smaller it is, the more text I can see at once, but I at least happen to write rather long paragraphs, so after a while I have no overview of what I have written anymore and have to scroll. A lot!
I don't know if it would make sense to turn this into an option, but I sure would prefer a bigger reply text window which can display more lines at once. I think I've read somewhere that You are already planning an overhaul of the reply window layout, though, right? Will this fix the issue of sent replies not automatically appearing in the reply window as well?
Finally - a classical Pownce app problem as well - paragraphs are not converted and everything is being sent as one big blob of a single paragraph.
Apart from that, everything seems to be working fine. Which is way more awesome than that sentence might suggest! :-)
So - great work, I think despite the still remaining problems I will now start using the app as my #1 way of checking Rejaw. Thanks so much!

How then do other AIR apps solve this problem? As far as I remember the Pownce apps both had international characters in them which were rendered just fine (I might be wrong, though). Are there no all-encompassing free fonts that You could implement? Just asking because I AM using Windows and a pixelated Times New Roman font would indeed look quite awful. Although I think Vista has new fonts and does smoothen basically everything. Well, we'll see, thanks for looking into the problem!

Missing umlautsHi there!
Just wanted to bring up the issue of the missing umlauts again I mentioned in the Rejaw comment thread. Merely in case You had forgotten and so that it is listed here as a request that You can then check.
Thanks again for all Your work!
weckman replied on July 24, 2008 20:49 to the problem "Problems loading Pownce Profile/Website Today." in Pownce:
For all I've been reading above, letting You know that the site has been extremely unreliable for me as well for many days if not weeks now probably won't change a thing. Over at twitter we've seen more than once what API abuse can do.
As I mentioned in another thread, the worst part of all this, though, is that quite often, because of this unreliability, posts are lost when I try to send them. I have already taught myself to copy-paste everything I try to post on Pownce, but still, like all the other users have pointed out quite clearly - this is highly annoying. And sad as there seems to be no fast and clean way to fix this.
weckman replied on July 21, 2008 23:25 to the problem "Desktop Client 2.0 - notes not being sent, client gets stuck, then notes (sometimes) appear later on" in Pownce:
Thanks!
I really hope this issue will be resolved soon, just now a message I sent vanished into thin air although the app acted as if it had been processed successfully, but it just never showed up in the stream. And like I said, it rarely works at all the first time around. It's almost like with 1st generation webmail, always copy the text You are about to send before clicking the button, because You never know what's gonna happen. No fun, this is like a lottery... :-(

Desktop Client 2.0 - notes not being sent, client gets stuck, then notes (sometimes) appear later onWhile the new Pownce desktop app works pretty well all in all, I've recently noticed the following problem:
I try to send a message, pressing the "Post it!" button, which then greys out but the screen does not change. I then have to press cancel and it at least appears that the message sent has been lost.
From then on, depending on how Pownce feels, one of the following things can happen:
1. The message is gone for good.
2. I post the message again and suddenly the first one is there as well making it look as if I posted the same message twice.
3. Posting any message via the desktop client always fails but the website works. Sometimes the lost ones sent via the desktop app reappear, sometimes they don't.
4. Posting a message does not work at all, instead when trying via the website i get the following error message at the top (like right now):
"(1062, "Duplicate entry '2824098' for key 1")"
=> no matter whether I post the same content again or something else!
Any idea what's going on?

That's what I thought as well and therefore exactly what I tried to do, but doing so did produce this odd login window problem. When I put the original file back in place the problem was gone. The file was properly renamed and all, I don't know why the app acted up and somehow recognized that "chimp.mp3" was not the same. Some meta tag information? File attributes? Vista's UAC? I'm puzzled!
Maybe I'll try again, though I'm not quite sure what to do differently.
weckman replied on May 19, 2008 20:30 to the problem "Still getting the OS API dialog w/ 0.31" in Pownce Monkey:
Oops, I have to make a confession here - that last time the error occurred it was apparently me. I should have made the connection, it's just that I would not have thought what I did could cause this.
So what did I do? I tried to change the notification sound to something less obtrusive (mind You :-) ). In order to do so I deleted the original "chimp.mp3" and renamed an mp3 of my own choosing. That's when the login screen appeared.
I only realized that now when I tried it again with version 0.32 and the same thing happened. Sorry for that, I guess everything is running well after all (although there were some outages over the weekend from what I hear).
Guess I'm stuck with the screaming monkey sending me into shock each time for now... :-)
