It now seems to be working without an intervention on my part. Keep in mind that I did try this multiple times and in two separate browsers. Weird!

When I try to create a Seesmic account in either Camino or Safari for OS X, the CAPTCHA graphic with the text I need to type just appears as a broken graphic. I'm using Flash 9, which I had to upgrade to the other day in order to overcome a Flash-based problem for another product. Both browsers are using Flash 9.

Is there some kind of workaround for this?

Updating to Flash 9.x did solve the problem. I was probably still using Flash 8. It's not like I had a box telling me I needed a newer version of Flash, though. It's also weird that the same version of Flash worked OK in Safari.

I'm still having this problem with Camino, a Gecko-powered Mac browser. I'm using Camino 1.6.1 under Mac OS X 10.5.3. I'm not sure what version of Flash other than it's not 9. However, it's probably the same version of Flash that powers my Safari and the browse form widget is displaying there.
