I think that makes its problems all the more absurd. Think of how large Facebook and Last.fm are. Twitter in comparison is small as far as userbase AND the source code. For such a minimalistic application it has a huge number of problems. – Eleo, on July 25, 2008 01:21

Twitter is a free service, but then so is Facebook, YouTube, Digg, Reddit, Last.fm, Google, and dozens of faaaar more reliable applications. Twitter is easily the least reliable web application I've ever used by far.

I added back all the people I was following, but as far as people following me, it went from about 13 to 0.

Also I've done nothing involving a phone.
