Elijah reported a problem in Ford on February 01, 2009 17:11:

iPod connection to Ford sync system disconnects itself.

I have a 2008 Ford Focus along with the inclusive Sync system. When I connect my iPod Touch (1st Generation) and iPod Nano (3rd Generation) via the USB connection they are recognized and correctly play for 1-3 minutes before losing the connection (USB Disconnected Message). I have attempted switching the USB cable and the problem persists. Any recomendations regarding the issue will be greatly appreciated.

Tyty7777777 first go to settings. Next got to general. After that choose international. Then press language. A menu of languages will appear, choose Francais. Then press done your screen will turn black and reboot in French. Direct yourself to Rolando and open it. Rolando should load properly. Once it has reached the Rolando menu press the home button. Redirect yourself to reglages (settings). Then again go to general. Scroll down to international. Once there press langue (language) and choose English. Then press OK. Your screen will again turn black and reboot in English. Direct yourself to Rolando it should be working properly.

Over time my iPhone library of applications has grown to a vast amount, forcing me to flip through pages upon pages of icons. The lack of organization need be solved, whether it be by named folders (i.e. games, work, productivity, etc.) or a Finder application for the iPhone, hiding some applications while keeping the more commonly used within fingertip length.

I'm totally with you on this one. If a third party company like Avatron Software, Inc. can create an application like Air Sharing which utilizes the same concept, allowing an iPhone/iPod Touch user to transfer files over wifi, why can't Apple do this with music.

I have been working with Kristine via e-mail and here is how I got it to work:

I changed the language of the phone and then tried to launch Rolando. Rolando ran without crashing so I hit the home button and switched the language back to English and restarted Rolando and it worked like a charm.

I'm not sure why this bug happened to me, but it may had to do something with me jailbreaking my phone. Thanks for all your help Kristine! I hope this solution works for the rest of you that are having problems.

From the sounds of your problem I would skip directly to step 4.

The troubleshooting steps to address this issue for most users are as follows.

1. Re-start your device and then load Rolando.

2. Uninstall Rolando from your phone, restart and reinstall.

3. Uninstall Rolando from the device, and from the Applications folder in iTunes. Then "Buy" Rolando again from iTunes (don't worry you won't be charged twice) by downloading the application again from the App Store.

4. Change the default language on your phone (in Settings), then launch Rolando. It should load. Quit, return to Settings & change your language setting back to English.

If you touch your home button twice quickly a miniature music menu will pop up. This menu allows you to increase/decrease volume, jump to next or previous song, or pause/play song. This works almost everywhere within the iPod Touch/iPhone OS as well.
