Ella asked a question in PBwiki on September 03, 2009 21:37:
New pages on my site don't show up in Google anymoreWhen I add a new page to my site, it doesn't show up in search results anymore all of a sudden.
Even when I type the exact title of a new page, I don't see it in Google. Why is that?
Say 6 months ago, a new page always did show up after a few days.

Hi Cliff,
I gave it a try, but unfortunately it is not giving me a name.
With "comments" it gives you this:
a name="comments"
But with the navigator bar that is not the case. And I can't find anything in that code, I can use for it.
But anyway, thanks for trying to help.
You know, the only thing I want is to get rid of that empty white space on top.

Hi Cliff,
I have always been so happy with PBwiki old style. It was perfect for me.
But since last month, when I was forced to switch to the new style, it has been nothing but difficulties. There were lots of issues, that I had to handle, several things not possible anymore (Adam knows all about it) and it was an unpleasant surprise, to say the least, to find that sidebar, covering up 1/4 of the page.
And now this navigator bar turns up, giving me a big empty white space. It looks so bad and I can't do anything about it, to make it look better.
I'm sure, there will be lots of people, pleased with all the changes you make, but I'm not one of them.
I feel very limited by PBwiki right now.
I think, all users should at least have some control, how they want their site to look.
So yes, I would like you to submit a feature request for that.

Hi,
Well I changed it, but I found out, that it only shows like that, when I'm logged in.
And that is not what I wanted. For myself it doesn't matter, what's on top.
I want my visitors, to see the sidebar on top.
And that is not the case.
I'm not at all pleased with that. It looks ugly.
I already didn't like that right panel in the first place and now this again.
What will be next.

Hi,
A lot of people enter my site other than the frontpage unfortunately.
Otherwise a message there would solve things.
Putting a message in the sidebar would be a good solution for sure.
I tried in in my test wiki and it would have been enough to put it there.
But... I don't have a sidebar on this wiki. :(
I never used the sidebar in the old wiki style. It was disturbing the page, so I deleted it.
And now it's still gone.
I suppose there is no way, to get it back?

Hi Adam,
Yes I know, you have to mention that and you know, that if I had been a Premium owner, I would have figured that out myself then. :)
But anyway, I will have to mention that on the site then, because I don't think, it will be clear to most of my visitors.
The problem is, that my site has more than 200 pages. So it will be very annoying, having to mention that on each page. :(
Is there a way, that I can insert that in the CSS section, so that it will automatically show up on each page?
It would help me a lot, if you could come up with some code for me.

set recent activity etc. hidden for visitorsI switched to wiki2 yesterday and I absolutely don't like, that it standard shows the sidebar, recent activity etc. at the right side. :((
It looks horrible, I want my visitors to see the whole page, instead of 3/4 of it.
Can someone please tell me, how to change that.

Hi,
I had the same problem as mrscoggin. I tried that code and it worked.
But I still have a problem with it, because when I color the table cells, it suddenly doesn't work anymore. And it's back to how it was without the code.
I tried to color the cells before I added the content in the tables, but it makes no difference.
I need to color the cells, so I would like to know, what can be done about it.-
