This has been fixed by creating a topic and embedding that into the site has made RSS feeds, and other media, perform in a more reliable manner.

I have found that when you create a topic and pipe my RSS feeds (as well as other media) into it and view that rather than the default timeline - things show in a more consistent manner.

While I don't necessarily have a fix - I have found that double clicking on the importance button works.

Flickr Group RSS Feed Disappears
Flickr Group Pool RSS Feed not showing every time and often disappears when the timeline is zoomed or moved. And it usually disappears if I refresh.
