Hi Belinda,
Shwup definitely supports wmv format. Since you are getting a time out, I suspect it must be something to do with the internet connectivity and the possibly the size of the video file.
- May I know the size of the saved video file?
- May I also check with you the duration and the style of the muvee you created
- In addition to that, are you using any High Definition input to create muvees?
This will help us to understand why the saving takes too long.
We do have a 100MB upload limitation if a file is uploaded manually by logging into www.shwup.com. However there is no limitation on size if a muvee is uploaded via muvee Reveal.
I have requested the developer to follow-up on your ticket which we just received. We will help you to add the muvee into the shwup album.
Cheers,
Emarson

Hi Belinda,
Since you have located the saved file, you can always log into www.shwup.com and upload the file manually.
- Log into shwup
- Select the album into which you want to upload the video
- Click on 'Add Media'
- Click on 'Select Files to upload' (This can be found on the File Upload option, which is default)
- This will open up a file selection dialog box.
- Locate the saved video file and select it.
This should upload the file to shwup.
May I also request you to provide us with the album name you are trying to upload to so a that we can investigate why you encountered this problem.
You can either send a mail to us or send it as a feedback in our contact pages in www.shwup.com. A developer will help you to fix the problem.
Best regards,
Emarson
Emarson Victoria replied on February 26, 2009 04:02 to the question "How long does it take for videos to be viewable in Shwup?" in muvee:
Hi,
When the muvee is uploaded to shwup, it should take a short while for the actual preparation process. But it should not take hours or days. The time it takes depends on the length of the muvee. Sometimes it will take a little longer if there are too many muvees uploaded/created by other users.
Can you please try to upload another muvee and let us know if that appears after few minutes.
Cheers,
Emarson
Emarson Victoria replied on February 17, 2009 04:12 to the question "Music over Title screen" in muvee:
Hi,
You can try the following trick to achieve the required effect.
1) Make a muvee without Title and Credit
- Go to Personalize->Title: Uncheck 'Include Title'
- Go to Personalize->Credits: Uncheck 'Include Credits'
2) Add the photo that you want for for title background
3) Move this photo as the first item in the list of selected media (You can also use 'Expand' button to get a bigger media panel, if you have a large selection.
4) Click on this photo, and select 'Caption' from the drop down menu
5) Now you will be at the screen where you will be able to add caption to this photo. Although this feature is meant for captions, you can customize the fonts, colour, size and the positioning of the text.
6) You can do the same for the photo that you would like to show as the last item in your muvee.
Although this will help you in terms of showing a text and the desired photo, unfortunately you will not be able to get the cool effects, sound effects and animation that we do on our current titles and credits.
Hoping this trick will help you now. We will consider this feature request as part of our regular updates.
