Ok, I've fixed this for myself, like in the previous comment, by adding
laterloop.com to the exception list of where to accept cookies from--
I allow cookies only from the originating site.. I am thinking this might have
to do with some sort of laterloop.com vs www.laterloop.com cookie issue.
Glad to have it fixed for now with the workaround, I'll see if similar action
solve my issues on the iPhone

You recently posted another message but I couldn't find the thread on GetSatisfaction anymore (we received a link to it by email).
LaterLoop's hosting platform had some hiccups yesterday, which caused a number of strange behaviors. If you were unable to login or if your login kept being invalidated, that was probably the main reason.
Could you please let me know if you continue to have any trouble today? The issues should be resolved by now.
Thanks a lot for your patience! – grex, on June 18, 2008 09:59

I am having this problem with the extension, but not with the bookmarklet.
I upgraded to Firefox 3 today, reinstalled the extension, deleted my cookies,
and I have the same issue, except, it shows me "logged in" at the top right
of the laterloop login page, see: http://imagebin.org/21194

I figured this out by Allowing laterloop.com to set cookies in the Firefox Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies > Exceptions – emazo, on June 12, 2008 22:30

I'm travelling to Europe in July and I'm planning to use this awesome ap constantly as I travel so a plugin would be stunning. In the mean time I'll just use a link but something that is reading my brightkite feed would be great. Great work thanks guys, hope you make a bucket load.

A comment on the question "Making privacy settings retroactive" in Brightkite:
Great, this was one thing that was confusing. Does it make sense not to just have a retroactive function, but a global real time policy? Meaning, if someone clicks on the BK url, the information on the page is related, real-time, to how the users has their privacy settings set. As an aside, this is what I was expecting the 'privacy' slider to do. – parker, on May 10, 2008 18:57

A comment on the idea "Custom alias for locations" in Brightkite:
Martin, I like the private flag idea, but I'd really just want the LOCATION to be private in that case. I don't mind broadcasting what I'm saying, I would just want where I'm saying it to be "fuzzy" in that case. – Ernie Ambrose, on May 01, 2008 12:31

Filter Friendstream different than UniverseWould it possible to filter Posts/Pictures/Checkins differently on my friendstream than on BKUniverse, or everywhere else?
I like to see the checkins that my friends are making, but not so much everyone else.

Hey Martin-
Just getting around to checking this out. What you've implemented here totally does exactly what I was looking for -- it's awesome.
Except for just one little thing (you knew that was coming, didn't you?). :)
I'd like to actually go wider than the "Area" setting (4000 meters). I kind of want city-wide notifications for my Friends, and 4000 meters doesn't cover that in most big cities. Any chance we can get a bit more control over the radius?
Keep up the great work. You guys are doing great things, and it's been fun to watch you implement so many user suggestions and new features over the past couple weeks.
