Comcast has to program their central computer to recognize your box signature. If you rent their box, they do it automatically. They should do it if you buy your own box, since you paid for the service, but then they can't rent you another box. Let's hear from Comcast on this.

How about paying for a package and not getting 1/3 of the channels. Repoirt it and they want to sell you more insurance for their own equipment. No help and am trying to find another carrier that at least appreciates my business.

I just upgraded at COMCAST's recommendation to the digital box and am missing about 1/3 of the channels. Called the 1-800 # and they tried to sell me insurance for their equipment. I don't understand! I am looking to go to other carriers and am very frustrated with the customer service of "COMCRAP"
