Lori i got back into my account this morning and while i was locked out i wasnt recieving any emails from facebook so stay positive...it looks like they are restoring them all...der just taking der sweet time as usual...also i have lost no info atal...except for a few dead crops on farmville all was A OK – Emma, on October 08, 2009 21:26

I have FINALLY been able to access my account since 10am irish time...it had been down since sat nite so this was day five....so hopefully you will on be back on soon!!

I agree with you on that James...its looking more like this is gona hit everyone eventually...as Robert pointed out earlier if you go to twitter and type in facebook site maintenance there are new tweets coming up regularly saying they hav just been having this issue in the last few hours...so it seems to be spreading! – Emma, on October 07, 2009 21:13

**UPDATE WED. OCT. 7**
Facebook has issued another update on this inability to access accounts issue, and, well, it's about time! Here's the latest:

We are experiencing a technical issue with one of our databases that is resulting in an extended period of maintenance for some of you. We are working on a fix and hope to have this resolved in the next 24 hours. You can stay updated at http://www.facebook.com/help.

FOUND THIS ON A BLOG ON CHICAGO NOW...im now hopefull that we will all be back on soon...still think they have a nerve sayin we can stay updated at the help page...huh ya right...they dont know the meanin of the word update!!!!!

oh im sorry... i just presumed seeing as we are all suffering from the same problem that if im still appearing in friend lists that everyone else would be too. Has anyone else here vanished off their friends pages altogether like Helena?? My god this is gettin more annoying by the minute :( – Emma, on October 06, 2009 22:25

Hi...i have just spoken to one of my friends and she said that i am still appearing in her friend list but she is just unable to access my page so i wouldnt worry about ppl thinkin uv defriended them because your still on their friend list :) – Emma, on October 06, 2009 21:49

I totally agree...i think its disgracefull how they've handled this...and i think it should be publicised as much as possible...if i ever get back into my account the first thing il b doing is setting up a group in disgust at the lack of their customer care!!! – Emma, on October 06, 2009 21:42

Thank god....i thought that possibly i had done something really bad in a past life and was gettin punished for it but im delighted to see im not the only one!!! Im in Ireland and havent been able to access my profile since saturday nite. It is really frustrating but at least i can now stop pullin my hair out knowin im not the only one being affected. I hope dat comment bout farmville was true coz if my crop is dead i will not be a happy bunny!! lol As for opening a new account...why should we have to..there is no way i can go through all that again...it would just take too long!!! Hopefully this gets sorted and soon!!!
