I've got Powerpoint 2007 & it exported it as pptx. It didn't give me a choice.

Unfortunately certain versions of PowerPoint, as well as SlideShare, don't support embedded videos.

What version of PowerPoint are you using, and did you export to .ppt or .pptx?

Videos & downloading to Powerpoint.
I'm not sure if this is a problem, or it was just me.
I've created a test presentation ( http://280slides.com/Viewer/?user=814... ) - and the video played fine in it.
When I'd downloaded it direct to my PC, the video wouldn't play. I'm not sure if it's just that video, or others too.
When I uploaded it to Slideshare (v. useful, by the way!), it messed up some of the layout. The video still didn't play, but I don't think that I've seen any videos there, so not a problem!
