Emmanuel set one of Emmanuel's replies as an official response to "Triggers not working" in Pikchur
Emmanuel replied on July 16, 2009 17:00 to the problem "Triggers not working" in Pikchur:
OK guys. The triggers were working all along, however we made a change to some of the posting and it turns out that you now need to include the triggers in your subject or body but not both.
So if your image caption is in the subject, simply include -trigger- after the text, same goes for text in the body.
I just tested this out and it works fine. Sorry for the misleading information under our FAQ section. I forgot to update it to reflect these changes.
Emmanuel replied on July 16, 2009 16:18 to the question "Syncing question; Pikchur and Flickr" in Pikchur:
Hey, this is a really nagging issue that I hope we can resolve soon.
It seems that you don't have Flickr synced at all to your account. Hopefully by following these steps you can sync in your Flickr.
1. If you are logged in, logout of Pikchur and clear your browser cache.
2. Log back in to Pikchur and go to your accounts: http://pikchur.com/dashboard/accounts
3. Go to Flickr and remove any authorization from Pikchur
4. Add your Flickr account
I included a small screen capture video recording me logging out, removing and then syncing my Flickr account: http://pikchur.com/files/flickr-sync.php
This should do it, if not then I have to see what else could be causing this anomaly. No one else has had trouble with Flickr syncing thus far though.

Hey, sorry for getting back to you so late, we have been in the process of updating the site ;-)
As far as your Flickr syncing issue, I looked in to it and it seems like users are posting perfectly to Flickr. Can you give me your pikchur or twitter username so I can look in to your case further?
Also, you might want to try to remove flickr and add it back as a service. You can do this in your accounts page: http://pikchur.com/dashboard/accounts
Hopefully we can get you back on board posting to Flickr asap!
Thanks,
Emmanuel

Hey, I am really sorry about this. We are working through some technical issues that caused some photos not to post.
These 2 attempts worked, I also see that it posted them to your Plurk, so that's good :-) ( http://pk.gd/bQQ http://pk.gd/bQq )
Again I really appreciate it for staying patient with us as we improve our growing service. We are releasing an update very soon as well as getting new hardware in that will improve the experience tremendously!
Thanks a lot & let me know if you have any other issues :-)

Emmanuel replied on June 19, 2009 03:51 to the problem "Uploading from Sprint cellphone" in Pikchur:
Hey, unfortunately we don't support sprint image messaging as of yet. Sprint has a very different way of sending multimedia messages, and we haven't had many people complain about it. But now it seems that a few more are asking for Sprint, so we will add it ;-)
I really appreciate you using the service and bringing up this issue.
Emmanuel replied on June 13, 2009 21:09 to the question "how come the original size was shrunk when uploaded to facebook?" in Pikchur:
Hey, for now we only send medium size photos to facebook/tumblr/flickr and services that support photo uploads.
We are in the process of making pro accounts available which amongst other features, will allow users to download original size images as well as post original images to facebook/flickr/tumblr etc.
Hope this helps ;-)

Hey, really sorry to hear that. We are working on a mobile version that will pretty much get rid of all those issues.
As far as an immediate fix, I am not sure what OS your phone runs, but if it runs windows mobile you can download Pocketwit, a twitter client for windows mobile which has built in Pikchur integration.
Let me know if there is anything else we can do.
Thanks,
Emmanuel

Hey, I think I might have replied to you by emal. If not, when you get back to Pikchur and login, it still doesn't sync?
I am really sorry about this, we are implementing facebook connect and it will be ready for the next update. These problems won't happen in the future.
Thanks for the patience :-)

Emmanuel shared an idea in Tapulous on March 08, 2009 20:29:
Pikchur support on Tweetsville? :-)We have been receiving lots of emails asking us to contact you guys about the possibility of adding Pikchur support to Tweetsville. We believe that we can add value to your already amazing tool.
If you are not familiar with Pikchur, we are a mobile photo sharing site which is integrated into a multitude of social and micro blogging networks. So basically a single request can be propagated to a variety of networks simultaneously.
We believe that by adding Pikchur as an alternative, you could offer your users the option to send photos to Pikchur or TwitPic. This method is already integrated in to Twittelator Pro, and we have found that users really appreciate being given the option
We have a comprehensive API with multiple output formats, such as XML/JSON, as well as a series of specialized variables you can send to us, that will allow you to granulize the complexity of the integration you might wish to include.
You will see that we have a simple Rest API that is easy to integrate, as well as SSL for sensitive information such as the initial username/password transmission.
Furthermore, you will notice that we use Auth Keys for methods that require authentication. This basically means that once you authenticate for the first time, we send you an Auth Key for that particular user. This will reduce the steps required for future posts to Pikchur as well as minimize the need to send sensitive information with every API call

If you have any further questions or concerns feel free to contact me anytime ( I can DM my email address if you need me to )
Thanks a bunch

This feature is currently enabled for pro accounts, which we are still playing around with. They should be activated soon with the ability to subscribe as a pro member at minimal cost.
It will also include a multitude of other features, such as no ads, priority queueing of images, detailed referral stats for images, more pics per page on profile, and some other things we are playing around with.
Hang tight as we are still working out what features the pro accounts will include. :-) If you have any ideas of what you would like to see as a pro member we would definitely consider adding it to our list.

Hey,
I'm really sorry for your posting problems. I think I might know what is happening here, it is a problem with the way your sonyEricsson sends in it's photos via mms.
I am gonna look in to this today and hopefully we can get your photos to post :-)
Thanks a lot for letting us know about this, we appreciate it.
