A comment on the question "How is it that Noah David Simon @analyzes is back on Twitter?" in Twitter:
Exactly, and when it comes to using venues like twitter to stalk, harass, threaten, libel and defame you begin to enter into dangerous territory from a legal standpoint. Personally, because the threats and harassment cross state lines I'd like to see the FBI involved. Professionally, I'd like to see some attorney's involved. I'm not sure what the resolution to this should be but it certainly doesn't reflect well on twitter to allow the harassment to continue. – eMOM, on August 13, 2008 02:20

A comment on the question "What is Twitter's stance toward abuse?" in Twitter:
Thank you so much for your attention to this matter. I think it is safe to say we all enjoy twitter and only want to see the service improve.
As for the the track feature, It would be great to have the option to choose if you want it to obey the block list or not. In our most recent TOS report case, if it had ignored the block list we may not have known that the abuse had continued for weeks on end. It's important for companies ot have the ability to track and monitor certain topics. So an option would be great! – eMOM, on May 07, 2008 20:00-

This isn't a debate forum.
The question here for TWITTER to address is as follows:
Is @panopticons abusing the Terms of Service
@panopticons is the same person using the following accounts. So I would like to see these names/accounts addressed in the question as well:

My concern is that while we (eMOM) are encouraging our members to use Twitter, Twitter is offering no real reporting avenue or enforcement of its terms of service as protection to its users. Though I realize that Twitter has a block button perhaps a better idea would be to have a “flag account button”. If enough users flagged an account the account could go into a suspended mode forcing the user to contact Twitter to have the account reviewed and reactivated. This would provide Twitter the opportunity to immediately halt abuse and afford them the opportunity to review accounts on a case by case basis.
Remember, blocking removes users from your Twitter stream but it doesn’t prevent the user from visiting your profile and viewing your timeline. Not to mention, it doesn’t stop the stream of harassing statements from being posted. It also doesn’t prevent the user from seeing who you are following and following the same people. This means the people you’re associated with can also be harassed for knowing you - and in this care actually are by the user in question.
The only other option Twitter gives us right now is protecting our tweets and that isn’t the best option for a social networking site or for companies/people interested in using Twitter as a social networking tool.
@NoahDavdSimon admits he has over 25 accounts to manage: http://twitter.com/noahdavidsimon/sta...
and has provided many of the names publicly: http://twitter.com/noahdavidsimon/sta... , http://twitter.com/noahdavidsimon/sta...
He’s also admitted these accounts were created for the purposes of going undercover to expose: http://twitter.com/noahdavidsimon/sta...
and to create copyright violations: http://twitter.com/noahdavidsimon/sta... which he has.
Some of these accounts actually use trademarked names and copyrighted logos as avatars too: http://twitter.com/YellowBook/statuse...
eMail Our Military (@MailOurMilitary) did ask him to cease and desist on April 19th: http://twitter.com/MailOurMilitary/st...
but the harassment has continued.
Because this user is posting from multiple accounts, there are well over 200 posts. We haven’t included them all but we’ve saved as many as possible as favorites on @MailOurMilitary for Twitter’s review and resolution.
It’s important to note that this user’s posts go well beyond a difference of opinion, or a disagreement and clearly enter into libelous statements, abusive and harassing behavior. Again these are saved as favorites on @MailOurMilitary for your review:

We believe the person in question has used twitter to attack, abuse and harass and apparently from the numerous comments, so do many others.
In closing, we'd like to see Twitter not only create a clear reporting system for TOS violations but investigate and take action when necessary.
We thank you in advance for your kind consideration and we look forward to a resolution.-
