Oh and I tried Opera on the other computer that uses XP (we have four), and it works there just fine.

Using Opera on the one computer with Windows XP and IE with Vista on the other.

There are no seesmic.com cookies on this computer.

The site goes straight to the 401 error on this computer.

Yes, I can see the site on the other XP computer, but not on the Vista computer where I tried to log in the other night.

I have been trying to get into Seesmic since last Saturday night (4/4/2009). I left a message as a response to another complaint of this nature and send email to bear but I have received no response and I continue to be blocked out. I'd like to see this fixed.

Misplaced Posts in Placestreams

After registering my location by phone, it places subsequent posts at my home location. For example, I checked into Irvine, CA. Three hours later, I posted and when the post appeared, it said I was in Portola Hills. I had not checked into Portola Hills before I made the post.

I am seeing Twitterberry users having the same problem. You can't see the "in reply to" line on the web site, but they turn up in Thwirl.

I have noted that the problem afflicts those of who have Thwirl and sometimes other clients. The problem began after 2:30 a.m. on Thursday is all I can say for certain. I also note that the reply-to line appears in Thwirl but not on the web site.

Twitter should be testing its changes on all platforms as it makes them. It obviously raced to fix some trivial problem and consequently made it impossible for Opera users to access it. I shouldn't have to use a widget to use Twitter. Firefox, IE, and Safari people don't.
