We shouldn't need a third-party solution for this. Twitter should offer it as an option on their official badges, just like they do on the Facebook application. -

I vote for this option of no @replies as well. It doesn't make sense when I have just one post at a time on my blog, and it says "@johndoe this is a great story but no one knows the context of it because they only see one post at time".
It would be better to not have them in your blog badges.
