A comment on the idea "Give users the option to tweet from the main window, instead of a separate window" in atebits:
I think Tweetie is far away from being developed 'in a vacuum'. There is obviously a thoughtful concept behind tweetie's user interface and a clear reason for the separate tweetwindow. If you just take a look on how many feature requests are being considered by atebits on this board, you'd know that their attitude is perfectly ok. – Eray Basar, on April 21, 2009 19:50
Eray Basar marked one of atebits' replies in atebits as useful. atebits replied to the idea "A Mac OS X version of Tweetie.". Eray Basar and 8 other people think it's one of the best replies.

Hi, I've just created a request to integrate img.ly as another alternative. Not only that we have a shorter name than twitpic and mobypictures, I think we do some things better. Why? Please take a look at img.ly and if you like the idea, support our request here : http://getsatisfaction.com/atebits/to... . We'd love to see img.ly on tweetie!

integrate img.ly as an alternative image serviceimg.ly is a new image sharing service, which comes with some important features, that are missing at twitpic. It has a shorter URL. it shows top viewed pictures. it automatically tags images, whenever a hashtag is used.
It also has a mobile frontend (for iphone, ideal to see the pictures without the need to zoom, etc).

It also shouldn't be a problem to implement img.ly, as it has an identical API to the twitpic API, except for the link.
