Eric L replied on March 02, 2009 19:13 to the question "Navigation menu from child pages not working" in Sitemasher:
Hi Colin,
When you make the secondary navigation, ideally you should put it in a nested master for that particular page. For example, you would have a main master page, and for, say, the products page, yoiu would make a nested master page for it to put the secondary navigation on. Otherwise, you would have to drag the secondary navigation in on each of the site pages.
To make the secondary nav work, hit apply at the step where you see the greyed out buttons. The menu will automatiacally detect the child pages so you don't have the option to add the menu items at this step. When you are done, go to the right hand side configuration panel, and change the menu source to from "child pages" to that specific page that you want to create the secondary navigation for - in your example, it would be the products page.

Hi Kristan,
Did you drag the menu into any container panels? If so, set the z-index of the menu itself, as well as all the containing panels of the menu, to something higher than that of the content containers. You can set the z-index with the in-line css on the right hand side. See screenshot below.

Hi Anders,
Can you email support@sitemasher.com and detail the problem? I.e. what is your site name, and is your new site on Sitemasher.com as well? Thanks.
Eric
Eric L replied on February 16, 2009 20:12 to the question "Managing Multiple User Sites" in Sitemasher:
Hi Henry,
To answer your first question, yes, SItemasher can help you manage all aspects of your site under one platform - customized page design, CMS, web hosting, and SEO and analytics. The only thing you have to go through again each time when you build a new client site is to get a domain with a registrar and set it up with Sitemasher.
To answer your second question, Sitemasher charges a monthly subscription per user for a site - which means that if you are the one primarily updating the site, you would only need one user for that site. The subscription is also per user per site, not per account, so it is entirely up to you to use your own card, or your client's, for their own site.

Eric L replied on January 26, 2009 22:57 to the problem "I can't get last video tutorial to play in full" in Sitemasher:
Hi Jim,
We've removed the templates temporarily until we have a lot more of them. In the meantime, you can easily find free CSS templates online and import them into Sitemasher, either as an entire zip file, or all the individual components separately. You can also create a new blank site, and create pages that have different prebuilt column layouts to save you time.
Thanks for the feedback on the video - the video is fixed. Please check the video again in 10 minutes and it should be working. Don't forget to clear your cache as you may still have the older video cached in your browser.

Eric L replied on January 18, 2009 00:20 to the question "Why do I get so many Error 500 when uploading images?" in Sitemasher:
Hi Andrew,
We are working on this problem right now. This problem is browser specific, so if you are using Firefox, in the meantime, you can clear your cache, close all instances of the browser, and try it again. To clear your cache, to to "tools > clear private data". Then have "cache" checked and hit the "clear private data button now".
Alternately, you can use Internet Explorer for now and this problem should not occur. We will rectify this problem ASAP. Thanks for your patience.
Eric L replied on January 14, 2009 19:27 to the problem "image links not displayed in html editor" in Sitemasher:
Hi Ray,
A lot of the user feedback issues for the toolbar options will be fixed in our next release. This means that when there is a header on a text, or if the tetxt is bolded or hyperlinked, etc, when you select the text, the toolbar will display the appropriate setting for it. Thanks for your patience.

Eric L replied on January 05, 2009 19:19 to the question "Option to selectively publish individual pages?" in Sitemasher:
Hi Dannyboy,
When you publish your site, you have the option to publish site-wide changes for approval, as well as selecting individual objects for publishing. If you select, the second option - "Submit changes to the object for approval. Your changes will not be visible until they are approved.", you can choose the pages that you want to publish. See the following screenshot.

Now simply select the pages you want live, and the ones that are unchecked will remain unpublished. Note that if your menu or navigation links to these unpublished pages, the link will be broken.
Eric L replied on December 24, 2008 10:04 to the question "Is there a comments feature for blogs created in Sitemasher?" in Sitemasher:
Hi Rayman,
Yes, we have a commenting system for our blogs. It uses a third-party blog commenting system called Disqus, and it is integrated into our system. When you drag in an artilce list, go to the right hand side properties. On the very bottom. You should see a checkbox called "Comments". Simply check it, and now when there will be a view comments link under every article in the list view. When the article is in expanded form, you will see all the comments for that particular article.
