Oh how a picture tells a thousand words ... Or something like that ...
the brake-side dropout (on the left side of your picture) is the replacement dropout that comes with the Floating Brake Kit.

Ask the person who you got the bike from if they still have the original brake-side dropout that came with the frame. Of course, now that we are all talking about it ... isn't it peculiar that the DO doesn't have any brake tabs?!?!?

I just checked inventory (in case original owner cannot locate it) and we have plenty in stock in the California warehouse. We have them in Black and Silver - but not red - so maybe you want to pick up a matching set.

$ 39 for the 1 or $ 70 for the set.

Actually - shockwave still runs a 135mm rear hub.
and BB still uses a 73mm shell
length of spindle will depend on your crankset
