Agreed - I'd also love it if there was some sort of notification telling me whether I'm "missing" tweets in between the last one I read in tweetie and the new batch that it fetches. I frequently miss tweets because it only fetches the last 100 and on some days, that can go by in just an hour or so.

It's been a month, and there's still no update as to the cause, or estimate on a solution? That's... disappointing.
